     U - Use for user
     T - Trans formation trade
     E - Education
     R - Research
* COMPUTER:- Commonly operate machine           particular use for user transformation trade               education research.
Q-   What is computer ?
 Ans. Computer word has taken from latin  language of  (computer) word  it's meaning of calculation. Computer is an advanced electronics device that takes raw data as input from that user and processes it under the control of set of instruction (called program) gives the result (output) , and saves it for thr future use.

   * * INPUT = PROCESS = OUTPUT
* Full form of BASIC
  B - Biginners
  A - All parpose
  S - Smbolic
  I - Instruction
 C - Code

          * GENERATION OF COMPUTER
 Generation In computer  terminology is a change in          technology a computer is being used.
1. First Generation:-
    The period of first generation 1946-1958 vecuum            tube  based.
2. Second Generation:-
    The perod of second generation 1959-1964                      ntransistor  based.
3. Third Generation:-
    The period of third generation 1965-1970 integrated        circuit based.
4. Fourth Generation:-
    The period of fourth generation 1971-1989 VISIM       microprocessor based.
5. Fifth generation:-
   The period of fifth generation 1990-ONwords VISI           Microprocessor based.

         * FIRST GENERATION:
* The main Features of first generation:
~ Vacuum tube technology.
~ Unreliable.
~ Supportd machine language only.
~ Very costly.
~ Generated lot of heat.
~ Slaw input and output deveces.
~ Large size.
~ Need of A.C.
~ Non portable.
~ Consumed lot of electricity.
* Same computer of this generation were:-
~ ENIAC
~ EDVAC
~ UNIVACl
~ IBM-701
~ IBM-650

     * SECOND GENERATON
* The main featues of second generation.
~ Use of transistors.
~ Relable in comparison to first generation         computr.
~ Smaller size as computer to first                         generation computer.
~ Consumed less electricity as compared to          first generation computr.
~ Faster than first generation computer.
~ A.C. Needed.
~ Still very costly.
~ Supported machine and assembly language.
* Same computer of this generation were:
* IBM - 1620
* IBM - 7094
* CDC - 1604
*CDC - 3600
*UNIVAC - 1108

      * THIRD GENERATION
~ Instead of punched cards and protouts, users interacted with third generation computers through keyboards and monitors and interfaced with an operationg system which allowed the device to run many different applications that monitored the memory computers for the first time became accessible to a mass audience because they were smaller cheaper than predecessor.

    * FOURTH GENERATION
~ The microprocessor braught the fourth generation of computer as thousands of integrated circuits were built onto a single silicon chip. What in the first generation filled on entire room cauld now fit in the polm of the hand. THe intel 4004 chip, developed in 1971, located all the components of the computers from the control processing unit memory to input control, on a single chip.
